Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
Ashlee Walker, MA LMFT
SHE / HER
I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals, couples, and families. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens in connection with ourselves, with others, and with the systems we’re part of. I was trained in Integrative Systemic Therapy, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic tools—including narrative therapy, solution-focused approaches, CBT and DBT techniques, and psychodynamic insight—to support each client’s unique needs best.
I look at the whole picture: your relationships, family and cultural background, community, health, and lived experiences. Whether I’m working with you one-on-one or with others in your life, I believe that the more of your world we can bring into the conversation, the more meaningful the change can be.
Over the years, I’ve supported people in outpatient clinics, home-based therapy, and community settings, including during times of mental health crisis. I’ve worked with people from all walks of life—across different races, income levels, sexual orientations, and identities—and I find it an honor to support those who share parts of my own identity and story.
In addition to therapy, I’m trained as a doula and childbirth educator, and I hold a degree in public health. I have a deep commitment to addressing the racial disparities and trauma many people—especially Black women and birthing people—face in reproductive and perinatal health. In the U.S., Black women are 3 to 4 times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women, regardless of education or income. That reality is unacceptable. I bring my combined experience in mental health, birth work, and public health to support clients navigating pregnancy, postpartum, reproductive health, and related trauma.
Whether you're coming to therapy for support with relationships, parenting, identity, trauma, or transitions, I’m here to meet you where you are—with empathy, honesty, and care.
