I believe everybody has the capacity to change and grow. I believe in the resilience and determination of all people. I hope to create a safe and inclusive space for clients to be heard and understood. My goal is to honor each client’s unique journey while also encouraging insight, self-awareness, and change. My therapeutic approach is rooted in narrative, experiential, and systems-based approaches. Beginning therapy can be daunting; it requires courage to take this first step towards transformation and to explore the things that sit on your heart 

I am a Black American woman whose identities influence almost every aspect of my lived experience. I am passionate about social justice and equity within our current societal structure. My practice is informed by an intersectional perspective that acknowledges the ways gender, socioeconomic status, race, and power influence our lives. I am Gen Z and was born in the millennia, as a result of the era I have grown up in, I am deeply fascinated by the proliferation of ideas and information through social media and how the integration of technology shows up in our lives. 

Before joining The Family Development Center, I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Hamline University and am currently pursuing a Master's of Arts in marriage and family therapy at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my sisters, coaching collegiate-level track and field athletes, doing Pilates, dancing, reading, and watching reality television shows and anime.
