Life can be challenging. Though there is power in finding strength amidst those challenges, there is equal power in seeking support. I commend the courage and vulnerability it takes to be here. As an immigrant who came to the United States when I was 14, I have grown to exponentially value the privilege of being in charge of my own narrative, and I hope to extend this privilege to all my clients. I aim to meet my clients where they are and be malleable in catering to their individual needs and circumstances. I am here to aid clients in developing coping skills, adjusting to life transitions, and feeling safe in their mind and body as they navigate the challenges life can bring. I believe in playing to people's strengths, honing skills that facilitate growth, and honoring the autonomy of my clients and their goals. My practice is informed by person-centered therapy approaches and I value viewing things in the context of systems and power.

Prior to joining the Family Development Center, I worked in a middle school as a special education assistant where I collaborated with students to foster a healthy relationship with academia, build social skills, and develop tools for emotional regulation. Common themes in my experience include; collaboration, accountability, self-awareness, communication, and strengths-based skill building. I aim to bring these skills with me in the counseling space and continue to develop them as an individual and in my therapy work.

When I am not at the Family Development Center, I am most likely at school working my way through the Clinical Mental Health- Counselor Education program at the University of Minnesota. In my free time, I enjoy baking, building Lego flower sets, and live music. I look forward to getting to know you!
